Hi, I'm Molly Papp, and I'm a sex and relationship therapist and certified sex and porn addiction therapist.

Not every therapist provides an inside look at their background. However, I think it's important for my patients to understand who I am, and where I've been.

I absolutely love what I do. And I have been through the experience of having addiction, depression and anxiety, so I know what it's like to be so stuck that even getting out of bed and looking at yourself in the mirror every day is torture. Sometimes it's remarkable just to be able to share your pain with a kind therapist who is trained to help you. Someone who has walked in your shoes and can lend you a hand from the other side. There is hope! It doesn't have to always be like this. Or that a sexual issue can be resolved- because many can with the right treatment.

My therapeutic style is very supportive. I believe in nurturing those who cannot nurture themselves (usually due to past neglect). I promote self-love and improving self-esteem so one day you can be your own cheerleader and won't need me anymore. Besides treating sex addiction, I help couples (of any sexual orientation) and individuals with any sexual-related problems or interests (erectile dysfunction, low desire, premature ejaculation, the BDSM/kink, polyamory/swinging/you name it!)

I often encourage taking small steps towards taking care of yourself, from exercise to building a spiritual connection, to taking time for adequate sleep and free time daily.
In my free time I enjoy reading, cooking plant-based food, going to the beach, and exercising by going for long walks or taking my dog and kids to the park.

I can not promise to 'fix' your pain or solve your problems. But I can promise you that you will not have to face them alone. I want to empower YOU to be able to heal yourself with my help. That's why therapy is so effective. We are not witch doctors or magicians. We simply show you the beautiful person you have been hiding deep inside that is worthy of your love.

If you are struggling with sex addiction or in a relationship with a sex addict, I know it’s not an easy road. It’s long, extremely painful, and at times seems unbearable- for both sides but especially as a partner. I can facilitate disclosure and sessions afterwards to help repair the broken relationship after betrayal. Having guidance is essential if you are in this position, either alone or in a partnership. You’ve been through a massive trauma and you should see a therapist who understands and supports you.

I have a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills, a Master of Public Health with an emphasis in Human Sexuality from the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality, and I am an IITAP Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). My sexologist background enables me to understand (and promote) consensual, healthy sex while my sex addiction training gives me the expertise to help those who do have a specific addiction to sex or porn (or both).
